Norblin Factory Museum

Unlike traditional museums confined to a single building, the Norblin Factory Museum spans across multiple locations within the Norblin Factory complex. As you embark on a tour, you will have the opportunity to explore 10 historic buildings and discover 50 machines and pieces of equipment that were integral to the complete production line of the factory. Among the notable exhibits are the quench furnace and the incandescent furnaces, which were used to heat the goods during manufacturing. Remarkably, visitors can even step inside one of these furnaces, providing a unique perspective on the manufacturing process. One of the museum's most prized possessions is the hydraulic accumulator that once operated the 520-tonne horizontal press. This remarkable piece, one of only four remaining in the world, holds significant historical value, as it was responsible for lifting London's iconic Tower Bridge.
