The garden is shaped like an Italian Renaissance "giardino secreto," which is a separate garden within a larger one, divided into small areas filled with flowers and herbs. It is meant to serve as a quiet retreat. The design of the garden is inspired by the Italian parterre next to the 16th century Holland House in London, featuring intersecting diagonal and parallel paths, with individual parts lined with trimmed box hedges.
The garden is filled with various varieties and species of roses, from early summer to late autumn, including border roses of different colors, shapes, and sizes, as well as climbing roses on the pergola and Excelsa ramblers. In addition to roses, the garden also includes other seasonal plants such as tulips in spring and heliotropes, dahlias, fuchsias, and geraniums in the summer. The garden also features ornamental geometrical patterns, sculptures, and a fountain. The garden serves as a popular venue for open-air events, such as classical concerts among the blooming roses on the terrace.
