The Saint-Vincent Cemetery is located on rue Lucien-Gaulard in the 18th district of Paris, in the Montmartre neighborhood. It opened its doors on January 5, 1831.

It is one of the three cemeteries in Montmartre, along with the Calvaire Cemetery, located next to the Saint-Pierre de Montmartre church, and the Northern Cemetery, commonly known as the Montmartre Cemetery.

Interments

The notable interments include Marcel Aymé, a writer who lived from 1902 to 1967, Harry Baur, an actor from 1880 to 1943, and Eugène Boudin, a painter active from 1824 to 1898. Marcel Carné, a film director from 1906 to 1996, Jules Chéret, a master poster designer who lived from 1836 to 1932, and Jean-François Delmas, an opera singer from 1861 to 1933, are also buried here. The list continues with Suzanne Grandais, an actress from 1893 to 1920, Roland Dorgelès, a writer from 1885 to 1973, and Arthur Honegger, a composer who lived from 1892 to 1955. Désiré-Émile Inghelbrecht, a composer and orchestra leader from 1880 to 1965, Gen Paul, a painter from 1895 to 1975, and Claude Pinoteau, a screenwriter and producer from 1925 to 2012, are also interred here. Other notable figures include Paul Sédir (Yvon Le Loup), a writer and philosopher from 1871 to 1926, Théophile Steinlen, a painter from 1859 to 1923, Maurice Utrillo, another painter from 1883 to 1955, and Andrée Vaurabourg, a French pianist and teacher who lived from 1894 to 1980.
